  • Do you have answers?

alright so im fairly new to the computer portion of car stereo but heres my plan.
i already have a mac mini and i just need to know the basic stuff i will need to hook it up.

i like the lilliput 10.1 touchscreen but dont know about being powered by usb and idk if they have mac drivers.

next concern is power, wich carnetix to get 2140 or 1900.

do i need a spare battery or anything?

ok last question is how do you get the sound from the mac into your truck stereo and be able to adjust it with an eq on the mac?

yeah i have alot of questions and im sure alot of them have been answered before but i dont feel like digging.
so hey if any of you know how to help me or to recomend me other things i might need just post it up.

    thanks

        haha, no.

There are answers to the questions you've asked that are not specific to any particular build all over these forums.
If you choose not to do some research on your own, a lot of people are not going to want to assist you.

        Good luck.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
        How about the Wiki?

yes, but you need to ask the right questions

and check the faq's(link in darque's sig) for a lot of the commonly asked questions.

if you don't have the time to search, or dig through threads, you very likely do not have the time for a carpc-- they are time consuming..

also, i can almost guarantee that 75% of any questions you have about installing a carpc have already been answered...

when searching, you need to search generically-- for instance, the 10" usb screen:

instead of searching for "model X usb touch screen install" search for "usb touchscreen"

or search for similar models-- there are other models/brands of usb touch screens available that others have used.

while we're on the subject of usb screens: all of them have a huge issue that will effectively disable trouble shooting while using a usb monitor-but you'll need to search to figure it out (i know i posted on it in the last couple months)

            I agree!
Besides, research has a quicker turnaround than answers. And you get to chose the least worst answer. (And avoid you having bad answers - deliberate or otherwise. But if you want some, ask on yahoo answers or whatever it's called - it's a scream!)

how about you search first-- there is a reason that they are not used, or recommended for primary monitors..

also, i know that there is some trouble, and possibly more expense to get the mac drivers--some usb screens don't "just work" with mac hardware...
