  • Using Morex 5689 Locking Mini-ITX Case With 60W PSU with PCI soundcard.

I an interested in this compact case but need help understanding how a PCI soundcard would fit in to this case?

It does not look like it does, but that would mean any user would be stuck with the onboard sound device.. and who wants that. what are my options

here is a link to the case http://store.mp3car.com/Morex_5689_L..._p/enc-035.htm

If you want to use a PCI(-E) card, I would recommend this case:

It is the one I just ordered. You have an option of ordering a Riser Card with it to install your PCI(-E) card into it. Chris also gives great customer service from my experience so far as well, prompt replys and quite helpful.

You won't fit a pci card in that case without heavy mods on your part, if at all. You would be better off with something like this case http://www.mo-co-so.com/Black-Box-PC...cs-bbm-pci.htm I think it comes with the flexible riser cable/card. Hope this helps SNO

that thing is huge. The setup has to find neatly into a mini cooper. I am going to a completely stock look, so it will need to be easily hidden

Then I would go with the first case and use USB sound card. Thats the route I went, a diamond 7.1 USB and it works great. SNO

Anyone ever dremel through the casing and use a PCIe extender to mount the soundcard on the side wall of the case directly under the HDD MOUNT?
