  • Ride Runner to control arduino relay board

I am having a hard time finding information to interface an arduino board (uno) to my pc runing ride runner. I am wanting the arduino to control a relay board that will switch 12V on and off. I want to implement buttons on the ride runner screen to tell the arduino to turn on and off. Is there a Plug-in that will do this or do I also need a bus adapter? Would it be easier to just spend the money and buy a fusion brain that already has the plugin software for RR? Any help is appreciated!

You should ask in RR Plugin Subfolder.
RR-Skin: BMW OpenBM Skin for E39 [never ending progress :-(]
    RR-Plugin: IBusCommunicatoRR new Updates

I'm after this info too .

Initially planned a Fusion Brain, but postage was more than the price of the Fusion Brain itself . I'm looking to use the Arduino Uno for input and output, interfaced with RR .

      Cheers,

        how about my USB IO-1?

got a nice plugin with RR already... (no one has to do any work)

gives you 4 Inputs (optically isolated) and 4 RELAY outputs
        all one tiny BOX..

cheap too... and for sure can get it to UK cheap, usps 1st class would be < $8.00 (10 days ship)

        -Thanks

Sounds interesting. I'm going to check it out now - must have missed this little beauty .

I know I'll find out very soon when researching it but..... is the input good for a steering wheel control resistance ladder?

          Thanks again Mitch,

          Cheers,

Ok, just found it and can see it for relay control, but a great little device. This may well get added at a later date.

I'm primarily after multiple analogue channel monitoring and discrimination to trigger RR events - which is obviously different to the OPs requirement (we just had RR Arduino in common )

            Cheers

Mitch, I like your USB IO-1 but I need to be able to switch on ballast pumps in my boat which have a 3 amp draw. I see the MJS USB IO-1 only has 1 amp relays. Any other suggestions?
