Do we really need so many more forums?
The most important part of an community is activity. If you create lots of empty rooms when there isn't traffic to fill them, it creates a 'dead' feeling and people leave.

Not to mention it's inconvenient. Before I could just go to 'hardware' to see the 7-8 new threads, now I have to go to 3+ different forums just to see the same messages.

It's not like it was overflowing with activity that we couldn't handle before.

It's not my job to moderate, but keeping things organized makes it easier for new visitors to find answers. Because power is such a large part of the hardware forum, it makes sense to seperate it, as it does with LCDs. We don't have to go to extremes and make hundreds of forums to cover every topic, but seperating out the most discussed subjects is a good idea.

One might argue that you should keep your core strengths (power, lcd) close to you, but seperating them also does make sense to a degree.

Hopefully activity will pick up in them and I'll just get used to the change.
