I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Clarion Auto PC?, is only a prototype or is for sale already?, at last i want to know any opinion about the aiwa cdc mp3 (the mp3 in dash player) so if anyone have tryed it please let me know
Hay, I think Clarion's Auto PC is out. I think I saw this thing at Circut City. It had an lcd screen that went into the head unit when turned off. It has 2 other optional screens and a dvd player and I think it had a cd changer. It looked prity cool but too conplex. I pressed stop and couldn't get the dvd to start again!
I'm sure if you do a search for Aiwa, then you will find some info on the CDC-MP3. I tried the unit and was excited about the ability to play MP3's in my truck. That soon faded to disappointment with the poor radio reception, signal to noise ratio and ugly display. I have since pulled it out, installed a Pioneer 6200, with the P-bus to RCA adaptor for input and am waiting patiently for my NEO 35. I went on a 800 mile trip and took my Laptop with me. I hooked it up and had 8gigs of music at my command. It sounded great, and my laptop has ****ty sound. I still plan on a Carputer, though it's primary purpose will be navigation, DVD and Games.
