Nice, unfortunately I think $199.99 is a bit steep, I have an STB2 PCI TV/FM card I got on ebay for $7.00 + shipping. I also have a friend that got a tv tuner like this and he only spent ~50.00 I know he got it off ebay but I could not tell you the features or make/model. The only problem with his was the case was a really ugly yellow color, but that is easily fixed

I agree. It looks nice, but too expensive. Here's a USB unit for $53

The features on it look good. Has anyone tried this unit? It's the Kworld KWD-TVUSB506RF-PRO USB TV Tuner w/FM/MP.

I can vouch for the happauge usb tv/fm tuner (the old one, not this high priced new one) All i can say is that i bought the cheapo d-link one before this and HATED it, absolute crap when it comes to reception. The sound quality of the d-link was on par with the happauge one. People have come up with all these contraptions and sheilding methods to get a decent signal out of the d-link but its not worth the trouble. This new $199 Hauppauge seems to just add some tv features and not much to do with FM radio....so i def think its overkill for the car. Unless you have a high powered tv antenna your not gonna get good tv reception in the car anyway, so who cares about the mpeg decoder.

My oppinion would be to stick with the old $50 happauge usb tv/fm tuner.... you will be happy.

and most of us with laptops in the car can't use pci devices, thats why we have to spend more for the USB stuff....
