  • Mission Difficult parts request

I'm in the process of getting a new PC/104+ USB2.0 board. Now I need something like this.

    http://www.deltrontech.com/USB/USBIDE/U-IDE.htm

In the upper left hand corner is what I need for 2 reasons

    1. Because it uses a ribbon cable i can flip it to use on the stupid Panasonic 8185 that seems to have it flipped on the other side

    2. its USB 2.0 so its can be buss powered!

if you know of a place I can get this I will be very grateful

Both USB 1.0 and 2.0 can be bus powered, it's just a question of whether the bus can provide enough power (can't be more than 500mA)

the slot load dvd I have is 1.8A so I take it I'm screwed. So is there an easy 12V to 5V circuit that I can build so I can put it behind my DVD in my dash?
