Looks nice. I have been a fan of ECS for a while. Here is a link for a US supplier. http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=151300 . Not too bad of a price for a barebones for P4 people. Here is the manufacturers link as well. http://www.ecs.com.tw/products/pd_sp...product_id=289

Oh my!! $148 isn't bad at all.

Could be a good server for the house too.

Very interesting. Does anyone know what kind of power consumption are we talking about for one of these puppies?

Could I play a dvd on this? would it be choppy? I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these, an OPUS (if the watts works out right... still have to do a caculation on that), and everything else I'll need to start my carputer.

                      Any comments would help.

I'd be very surprised if there was space for an Opus PSU in that case.

Car changed for TVR Griffith 500, so computer de-installed. Using a Dension 100ix w/60Gb HD unit in the interim.

I bought one for a customer and fitted it into his motorhome. It was the only case I could find that was small enough to fit in the locker he had in mind. It is really built down to a price with zero expansion capability. It uses an external 240-12v power brick.
Turned into a bit of a saga as the original intention was for a gateway for his Datastorm 512kpbs Broadband internet satellite system. Now running an 802.11b ad-hoc network from it and a huge printer/scanner/plotter in one of the storage lockers.

those specs are pretty close to my pc's except that crappy onboard video had to go!!! It will play DVD's fine I mean crappy in an Unreal Tournament 2003 way, 3d is horrible, but 2D is good, even if you had to play Movies in software renderer the P4/Celeron is up to the task just make sure you got lots of ram
