I think most hove dvd players support vcd or svcd. Convert your Divx files to this format and you're able to play them on your home dvd player.

Yeah, my El-cheap-o Apex player suppots that, but there a re 2 issues..

              1 - I would rather have 1 disc of a movie than 2, and...

2 - While a 2 1/2 hour divx can fit on 1 CD, when converting from divx to vcd, that same movie will end up on 2 1/2 discs. In vcd format, you can't get much more than a minute per meg, without major video quality loss...

been waiting for this for some time. and its all because i voted yes to "would there be a market for a divx hardware decoder" a year ago on some poll ahha

Uh, your retarded... vcd is better... if you take the same movie in vcd then encode, Vcd will ALWAYS be better...

VCD is not DiVX no matter how you look at it...not even some of them. VCD is MPEG 2, and DiVX is MPEG4, a greater compression algorithm, maybe slightly more quality loss, although i haven't compared the two side by side.
