        Did you consider the MII-10000?
You may or may not want that, but doesn't hurt to think about it

You do need the adapter for the slim DVD drive.
Check the member onsale forum, you might find a cheaper deal there. Also, don't forget to save up money for the GPS.

          P.s. what about keyboard/mouse?

          Have fun buidling it.

whats the differenct between the MII-10000 and the m10000?? im guessing it a more updated and expensive version, hehe.

this first carpc im building is just to build and sell to make a little extra money. ill use the money i make off this pc to help pay for MY car pc i will build with the same specs later on.

im gonna go with the m10000 tho...

are the prices for the dvd and hdd good? can i get a better deal somewhere else? thanks guys

also you said i need the adaptor for the dvd drive

              Don't forget a screen!!!

And you'll need adapters for both the slim CD and the 2.5" HDD.
Check out www.mini-itx.com's store. Definitely not the cheapest, but it's easy to find the adapters on there.
              So far:
              M10000 Nehemiah, 1Gb RAM, Opus 90w PS, Buffalo Tech WLI2-USB2-G54, 160 Gb HDD, GlobalSat BU-353 GPS, iGuidance, Zippy EL-610, Panasonic CW8123B Slim Slot CDRW/DVD, 10" Lilliput, Sony XA-300, Sony CDX-MP30 Head, OBD-II

That completely depends on what OS. If you can avoid microsoft's latest bloatware, you can get away with less AND have a faster system. And if you are using hibernate, more ram will slow down that process significantly.

As far as power supplies go, there are only 2 sizes available for the Opus power supplies: 90watt and 150watt. You should be fine with the 90watt. But I don't think that you won't be able to fit it in that case. You can mount it somewhere else and extend the ATX power cable - but not too far. They sell ATX power extension cables that go 12 to 24".

This seems to be the question of the day.

I also wish to know this.
