  • Got the Morex 3688 today!

Got my Morex 3688 case today, I think it looks good. Now I need some expert help in the upholstery modification I want to do.

Above are links of the cushion that I want to install the case into.

My question is what is the ideal way to cut the foam cushion. I want to maintain as much integrity in the cushion as I can. Razor blade? Knife?

    Any suggestions welcome.

P.S. I plan on adding vents to each side and lining them with a plastic sleeve to maintain good airflow.

It sounds a little silly, but the hands-down BEST way to cut foam is using an electric carving knife. That's what we use to cut foam for sound proofing studios, and that's what I use when doing any projects around the house.
