  • VIA nano ITX?

Does anybody know anything about the availability of these boards? And does anybody have an opinion about how they will work in a car PC build?

I'd like to use my 2 DIN slot to build the PC with a 7" LCD in front - with everything inside (harddisk, slot-in DVD etc.)

    Plans + status:
    + Ford Galaxy 2001
    + 7" GAIN (Xenarc) screen
    + 2,5" 40 GB Samsung drive
    + slot-load DVD/CDRW
    + USB WiFi
    - mainboard (Epia SP?)
    - housing (home made?)
    - power supply (Opus 90W/150W)
    - USB GPS + USB card-reader

I don't think the nano versions are being sold yet. Most people here are using the VIA mini-itx mainboards.

Yeah, but lots of us are waiting for the nano excitedly. The potential of those things is great.

Yep, the nano will rock! Im planning on building a mini-laptop with the nano, a lilliput 7-incher, a 2.5 hd, and a half-keyboard (or frog-pad, or just touch-screen - dunno yet). Only issue is battery...

I'm thinking of building my own Point Of Sale systems for my restaurant and using an open source POS package. For the hardware, I'm contemplatinging fabbing a case w/ a nano-itx motherboard so it's one unit (w/ display and touchscreen) and it's barely bigger then a normal 15" LCD monitor. I also want to use the nano-itx for my speculative fighterplane conversion for my motorcycle (w/ the MFD replacing the gauges).

            C'mon guys, release it already!

                      nanoITX - date available?

Does anybody know or have anybody heard any rumours? I still cannot find any traces of news about this after the Computex 2004 event, and even there I could not find any info on expected release date...

                            Funny thought.

VIA calls there audio 5.1 Six-TRAC.

When they come out with their 7.1 version, will it be called 8-TRAC?

What do you guys think about their performance? Could it rise up to the level of the mini itx?
