  • Via ITX Cpu power

    Hello

Have a friend who wants to buy a Via ITX with an 800Mhz processor. (http://www.shentech.com/viaepviapl80.html). From those of you who are using this system, or something very similar, what are your experiences with performance and performance degregation.

mostly specific at multitasking with gps while playing music or just watching a divx/dvd movie.

how this stack up on the quality aspect of things? what other itx board/cpu combo's would u recommend?

ok, I have a similar board (the EPIA 800) and it doesn't have the oomph required. I switched to the EPIA M 10000 and that fares MUCH better.
of course, an MII 12000 would prolly be even better...
I don't need no stinkin' startup-shutdown controller... That's what journalized filesystems are for...
