Yep. I use one, works great. The best reason to use an external drive w/ USB 2.0 connect is so you can safely use a 3.5" desktop drive for cheap, big storage and be able to sync/maintain your data conveniently and quickly. Most 3.5" USB enclosures need seperate power, I made a molex connector for mine.
Maybe. I just set my enclosure under my passenger seat. I think it sits on a shirt right now. Nothing special, but then again, I don't do World Rally Championship offroad racing, so I don't really need a super megasafe box with shielding against a 5 kiloton direct hit.
haha good point its jsut where I come from the roads get potholes easy (norhtern Canada), -50 degrees weather tends to do some damage haha. should I not worry about it? or should I right off the bat build something for it cause I dont want it wrecking and having to buy a new one. thanks
