  • Would this combination of items work together?

I don't know if this possible but it was be nice if it all worked out. If I take my Dell Latitude laptop in put it in a docking station or port replicator with this pc to tv converter http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...100-117&depa=0 and this kind of display http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...ore=&catid=385. Any suggestions and comments are welcome.

But doesn't all Dell laptop comes with composite out? I know all the Dell laptops I touched all have 1... You'll need a little 6" cable that should came with the laptop that looks like S-Video/PS2 connector on 1 side and a composite video plug on the other. Heck, I think the docking station/port replicator has composite out already. No need for a pc-to-tv converter.

I tried to use that connector with my projection TV at home but the images were completely distorted. I played with it for over a couple of days, but gave up. Will the image look any better on a 7' inch screen.

The images was completely blurry. It looks like when you set your monitor to the wrong resolution. I change to different resolution and refresh rates but it didn't help. Here's the article from Dells' website that I used. http://support.dell.com/support/topi...856&l=en&s=biz

Blurry sounds normal for PC on a TV. Get a VGA screen, digitalww has a 7" VGA screen for $230. It'll be worth the extra $70 or so.
