  • UPS Software

i heard there was UPS software that can detect when the laptop is in hibernate and that when it receives a voltage (ACC or car ON) that the UPS will kick the laptop back from hibernate. Anyone know of any that will??

someone also said you could use the serial port pin 8 to Acc and when the car is turned on it would kick back from hibernate. what kind of software can be used to do this??

    Thanx

I doubt it, there would be no software running if the laptop was in hibernate!
Acc to pin 8 can put it into hibernate.

Search for 'Wake on Ring'. That could wake the laptop up, if the bios supports it.
