  • Mounting slim DVD

    Hi all

Just bought a Panasonic CW-8123-b slim slot load dvd/cdrw drive. As im not using a proper computer case, how do i mount this flush to a flat surface without actually strapping it down with string! The screw holes, if thats what they are, look tiny! Does anyone make a bracket for holding one of these slim drives?

    Any help

    Thanks

    James

Just today, I bought an external usb2 housing for slim drives. It cost me about 45 euro, and will look nice in my glovebox.

Are you mounting it in the computercase or somewhere reachable?

Its going in a case sitting next to me in my landrover, a cubby box in place of the middle seat. I want to mount the drive on the inside wall of the box, so when i open the lid, it sits flush to the side and ready to take dvds and cds. All the rest of the computer stuff is fitted in the box too. All i need is something to let me mount this one the side, i could fabricate, but id like an off the shelf option for easiness and laziness!

Well, starting off with an external enclosure could help you on your way... get rid of the usb part and you have a nice mounting option... little bit pricey though
