just been messing around with my system and I came up with an idea!

If I connected an led to the speaker connector on the M/B then I would have a Visual POST. This could be handy at the front of the car if there are any booting problems.

Then I thought why not go further you could have an audio bleep to confirm inputs that would flash the LED confirming the input has been recieved.

I have just connected on my system seem to work really well.

    Just an Idea??

Unfortunately that is not going to work. You could connect an set of long cables to the power and hard drive led's to see them.

I did mean with long cables, not directly connected to the M/B

I picked up a keypad which does not have a NUMLOCK LED. Is there any way to access NUMLOCK status from the MoBo? I am thinking of installing something similar to gizmo's setup, but would also like NUMLOCK so I can double up on control options.

Back in the day, I knew of a DOS TSR that swaped the numlock led and HD led 's

You could probably find it on some old dos shareware cd's
