To cool! What kind of paint did you use? Do you think it will last? I worry about painting plastic because it always seems to chip off.

More details on how you did it would be appreciated.

      Thanks,

I dont know if he used it or not, but for painting plasitic, vinyl dye is the sh!zn!t. It actually colors the plastic, so its a lot more forgiving to scratches and such.

        see http://www.linear1.org/ for more info.

Sorry for the slow reply, It was Vinyl Dye that I used. check out the above link for more info. That's where I read about it. Tonite I'm planning on drilling 2 holes in the front for a set of "Blue Dot" Lenses like they used to have on all the old hotrods. I'm gonna put super bright LED for the HD and CDRom Activity behind them. Will post pics when I get it done.

If anyone is interested, these are back in stock at Computer Geeks. $78 for the blue or $88 for the purple (but the purple are almost gone).
These make great car PCs, very small and they work off 12V. Check out KCMONGO's bisotar page in his sig for pictures.
I finally got around to installing mine in the car and it works great. It's small enough that I was able to put it in the armrest (after attacking the case with my dremel), so it's completely hidden. The only problem is that there are no expansion slots, so I'm using an external VGA to NTSC scan converter to drive my LCD. I'll post some pics when I have a moment.

Woould this be worth buying just to get an ATX power supply? What does the power connector look like on the motherboard?

The max output of the power supply in these things is only rated at 60W. Also, from looking at KCMONGO's site, you would have to hack the 4 pin input plug.

KCMONGO: Any more details on the PSU part of the easynow?

I never knew the CD drive on those things was like that. Forget upgrading....

WizardPC: The CD connects via IDE, so upgrading is not a problem.
