Does anyone know of a way of turning the "Critical Low Battery" Message when you boot the laptop? As soon as this message pops on the screen the comp shuts down and i have to recharge the battery (which is near death). The error still happens with the AC Adaptor plugged in! and it still happens with the battery removed. However if i charge the battery for about 4 hours i can use the laptop for a small amount of time before the system then again complains on the low battery and hibernates. I dont understand why this is happening with the AC Adaptor in

    Thanks.

In XP, you can set the action upon Critical Low Battery alarm. The option is in the control panel -> power options -> alarm tab.

It is just after the IBM Thinkpad screen (where it says press F1 to enter BIOS Setup etc.) And Windows hasn't yet been installed on the machine.
