What kind of dvd drive should I use? A slim or IDE? If I use a notebook drive, what type of adapter will I need to buy for it? Please help! Thanks!

Which types depend on what case you have and what power requirements you need. Those slim drives usually come with an IDE adaptor anyway...

Well, I am building a custom case, but I figured the notebook drive would with stand the slight vibrations of the car moving better.

Yes, with slim drives CDs are securely clamped (tray drive) or slot load even better!

Sorry its difficult to read your orange fonts... Can you do something about that, please? Or just me colur blind??

If you're going to buy a Mini ITX case, it may come with it(my Morex 3688 came with one). If not, then you can pick one up for less than $10. I've purchased a couple of slim drives and none of them came with IDE adaptors.
