  • Video car problems....

    I put in a pci video car last night into my system to test....started the pc and got nothing on the screen....powered of the pc and removed the card and restarted and now nothing is on the screen when the monitor is plugged into the onboard video.....

    What happened????????

    try a different cable, perhaps you damaged it when moving it about.

    try a different card and/or monitor.

    Other than that you may have had a faulty card that has damaged your monitor.

      Failed the mention the card was just working in a different pc yesterday and the monitor works on a different pc also...

        did you disable and uninstall your existing video before setting the new one up?

          Reset the bios values by enabling the 'clrcmos' jumper and putting it back to the default position...

              Yeah, the BIOS will be configured for onboard video if it exists. You should disable that before you install the card.
