  • EPIA Composite out problems

    Hello,
I am running an EPIA M10000 in a car and trying to use the composite/s-video output together with the VGA output (for TV screens in the back).
When I run the VGA just by its self (800x600), it works great, and there are no problems at all. However, if I enable the "TV" check box in the display settings, the composite line gets video, but the VGA gets major vertical overscan.
It's hard to explain so I drew a quick crappy pic.

The screen is a Xenarc BTW.

So does anyone know what could be the problem? It seems like it is something that has to do with the graphics drivers. I am using the latest S3 drivers off the manufact site.

    Thanks

Overscan is pretty common. Don't know how the EPIA does it but on most video cards the overscan can be controlled from within the video card drivers.

Yeah, the funny thing is... I can control and FIX the overscan on the composite output, but I CAN NOT fix the overscan on VGA (which is what the actual problem is)

        Anyone else got any ideas?

Do both outputs show overscan or just the VGA? Maybe your refresh rate is being changed when you enable the composite out?
