Does velcro actually keep the case secure to the trunk. How velcro do you guys actually use? A few strips or do you cover the whole bottom?

I just used a few strips. I went to the hardware store and picked up a pack of industrial strength velcro and just used the side that sticks to the carpet. It's really stuck down there...

Velcro will support this? Wow. I'd say even bungees would provide too much slack. May want to try metal straps or rope.

I can see velcro supporting it if it's using gravity to help it, but in this guys case.....gravity will be working against him.....

Wow, show you how careless I am at reading. I read mounting case in trunk and automatically thought to the floor.

I mounted my 2699R case vertically to a board in the trunk using two strips of industrial strength velcro. I have to use a crowbar to pry it off when I need to do maintenance on the case. Once the case started bending before the velcro would let loose. That stuff is amazing.

Yea they make some friggin' strong velcro now adays. You gotta find the stuff that looks like hard plastic. It's really strong.
