  • Tupperware case?

    Could you not put the a computer in a Tupperware container?

    As long as it wouldnt melt?

    Cheap
    Easy to cut
    can be painted

    thoughts? Im losing my mind today.

    Anythings possible, just make sure you have enough cooling.

        PC's don't get hot enough to melt plastic so give it a go..

          Oh and use flexable paint, as used for repainting car upholstery, normal paint will just crack and fall off.

            Maybe plastikote? (sp) The paint for plastics?

            Im actually looking at some Sterilite and Rubbermaid containers, I think I may give this a go...

                Strange is good. I used a cardboard box for around a year with no problems, so heat isn't an issue (although, I used a celery 300 - the cpu was on a daughterboard).
                No paint - keep it real. If you want it opaque, buy opaque tupperware.

                  Haha I had a case like that (Rubbermaid) for my network disk, 2 USB HDDs and Linksys NSLU-2 storage link controller. I even had 2 fans in there. Eventually I put it in the garbage and just put the HDDs etc. on a shelf. It looked cool
