    Hey guys,

I've been setting up my bios and now my xenarc doesn't detect when the pc turns on. could i have adjusted a setting i shouldn't have? Could anyone help me resolve this problem? i did a search for 'xenarc auto on' and didnt find anything helpful.

    Thanks in advance

its kinda hard to believe this has an influence to your Xenarc auto-on feature. Anyway, have you tried loading back the BIOS default settings?

I had a similar problem......did you install a new video card in it?
If so then adjusting the bios video card for either pci or agp could have something
to do with why it won't turn on.

yeah... i guess i was missleading. It's not that it wont auto on... i think that it's getting no signal what-so-ever. It was midnight last night when i was adjusting the os and for some odd reason when the computer booted up the volume was at 100% so i had to quickly shut the computer down before i woke everyone up. on the ride to work today i had no signal from the computer. I'm online now looking at the manual to see if there is way that i can reset the bios blindly.

no new graphics card but i think i found my answer on how to reset the bios.

              http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...pia+bios+reset

Reset the Bios. Pull out the CMOS battery, and move the jumpers to the clear CMOS position. You''l be able to enter BIOS then. I have to do this everytime when I want to enter my M10000's BIOS. Otherwise, pressing "DEL" won't do anything...Wierd ha...

              and from this post:
              http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...pia+bios+reset

My Epia M10000 has a bios reset jumper on the board, it's near the memory slot.

I don't have my manual here and the via's pdf manual says that it's corrupted and wont open. Can someone clue me in to what jumper i'm supposed to move and to where?

              Thanks,

The jumper is right next to the CMOS battery.

Switch the jumper onto pin 2 and 3, then back to 1 and 2. This will reset the BIOS.
