So how does this work? Says it needs:

An XM-ready car stereo head unit and that it must be installed with an XMDirect Smart Digital Adapter.

I'm assuming that the XM-Ready headunit can easily be replaced by our CarPCs and some software (i think frodo wrote something), but how much is the XMDirect Adapter? And is that all that is needed to successfully get XM to work (except for the subscription).

      Thanks!

      Jim

you dont need the adapter, you just need to build or buy a cable

        build one:

the antenna is really small and mag mount so it doesn't look bad atleast on my black car. I got everything and everything looks good. looks like a simple form to fill out for the rebate. now i have to keep an eye out for XM service for cheap
