  • anyone have a NANO-ITX setup?

    hi guys/gals,

i was wondering if anyone has gotten their hands on a nano-itx motherboard.

i actually won one from a dealer a couple of days ago. they said it was a promo item that was sent to them from via used for reviewing.

it should be here on monday and i was wondering if anyone that had one had anything good/bad to say about them.

    thanks.

You're the first that I've heard who actually had/has/scheduled to get one.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

I've been waiting for VIA to release them into production for a while now. They still say it won't be out until June of this year. So consider yourself very lucky and the object of my envy.

NaNo-ITX - the slower and smaller cousin of the mini-itx

These Nano boards are probably going to be SLOW. Before buying them, people should read about the speeds people have been getting with the mini-itx boards.

Yeah well you think nanoITX is cool...check these out....http://www.kontronuk.com/catagory.ph...=embedded_jrex

Pentium M power up to 1.8GHz in 102x147mm compared to 120mm x 120mm for the nano ITX!

oh and i got a quote of arounf 350 for a 1.1Ghz Pentium M model - not bad when you consider a VIA mini ITX Celeron M 600 goes for 260 and a VIA mini ITX P4 board only is 210!

you can buy them now but they are not cheap. They do industrial qulality ATX, mATX, mITX, flexATX and JRex (smaller) for pentium 4, pentium M and VIA CPUS. Jsut check out their website. The ATX and mATX are pretty reasonable prices (110-135) considering they are built to last.

Check out my thread about microbus motherboards. They are the dogs b*llox too with self repairing fuses on the inputs to pretect themselves! and will run a 1.4Ghz Pentium at 16-30W!!!

                            Digitalww

$400 is too steep for me. It says
                            In Stock: Limited Supply
Anyway I wish intel would release a nano-itx board with a pentium M, just because it would be so much faster than this...Then $400 would not be so bad, but I cannot stomach it right now.
