    i've done Quite a bit of searching here and online. is my assumption right that this motherboard will not (no matter how many codecs/software/players) i throw at it play divix/avi/anything above mpeg4 movies???

    Excuse me but where did u do your research again???? I know for a fact that the M1000 is very capable of doing what you desire!

          didn't mean to come off that way. i got a deal on this MB and for about 3 weeks i've tried everything to get video to work....
          codecs...bios....and nadda. windows explorer crashes every single time. and that's just looking at the folder that has the videos in it. and the mercury motherboard i got as a replacement doesnt even power on...so i guess i'm a little out of sorts...
          ...you know, that guy...
