SO i Just bought one of these today for my install:

Im sure most of you know what thats for. I am using it for the remote signal for everything that needs to be turned on. My question is:

Can I hook up multiple things to that. For instance i need to hook up my: Opus, and 2 Amplifiers. On the box it says 10amp max fuse. Will that be ok to wire all 3 things to that line? Basically I will hav one wire connected to the fuse wire and that 1 wire will run to my trunk and branch of to my opus, and 2 amps. I wont use a distrobution block. IM just going to use the twist caps.

I am not exactly sure how that thing is wired, however, it appears as if the fuse in that unit is used to protect the car circuit, because in order to install that, you must remove a fuse from the fuse box, and insert that unit in it's place. Undoubtadly, the fuse also protects the signal wire that comes off of it. I think they mean that the unit can only handle 10 amps of protection, so don't put that in a spot in the fuse box where a 20 or 30 amp fuse was.

Next, you CAN use it to supply the "accessory" signal to all of your items, as long as the amperage rating is not exceeded. If you had 120 opus PS's, each drawing 250ma when on, that is 30 amps. Yes, that is an extreme example, but you do have to keep it in mind. Also, some things draw more power then others.

    Just keep that in mind.

I generally like to use the wire from the fuse box to flip a relay. Relays draw about 200ma or less of current to flip, but can supply up to 30 amps of current, and use the relay to power the "accessory" wire of my units. It is overkill, but that is how I like to do it.

I also like to test the contacts in the fuse box to see which contact has the power that enters the fuse, and which contact get the power through the fuse. I then attach my accessory wire after the fuse. In that way, if something goes wrong and the fuse blows, I do not continue to draw power through the contact with out fuse protection.

You can use it for the Opus accessory wire. The opus should have 2 power wires, one that is accessory (Also known as ignition) and high constant power.

You can not draw high power for the devices in your car through that thin wire, and through that single fuse of the unit you purchased. The high power wires should be seperately fused near the battery, with heavy gauge wire running from the battery to the devices. That unit can supply the accessory wire of all your devices, as long as you are not over the max current.

Now the remote trigger would go to the fuse thing right. But now where does the RED wire connect to. THe red wire is the Ignition On/Off Switch. I dont understand how to wire that red wire up....

It shows that you connect it to a switch....so like a regular on off switch? One end goes to the red wire and the other end wires to the yellow wire (battery)???

Probably. I am not 100 percent sure about the Opus wiring diagram, but if they call it remote, accessory, or ignition, then yes. If the "remote" is for something else, then probably no, although I can't off the top of my head think what else "remote" could be right now.

Read the manual to determine what the remote wire does. I do not have the manual here, but there should be some word to describe what the Remote and the Ignition do.

It is wierd that they mention both pins as being Ignition.

                          Reading the manual does wonders.

I got the fuse at my local Auto Zone Store. THey should have them at any auto store like Pep Boys, Auto Barn etc... I dont know the exact name for it. It cost me $ 7 bucks.
