  • ITX of ATX for me?

I am planning out my CarPC build. the only problem i am coming into is picking out which setup is best for my needs. I want the CarPC to play MP3s, DVDs, nav, FM radio, XM radio, 5.1 surround sound, frontend, and some form of an OBD connection to my car. Size is not an issue in this build. i am using the OPUS 150w DC-DC PSU. with all the things i want which MB setup would be best for my situation?

If size is not an issue spanky then get a normal ATX. It will be cheaper and will allow a lot more expansion. At the end of the day the choice is yours. The ITX will be small and discreet. The ATX will have better cooling space and expansion possibilities.

You need to decide where you want to put the pc. Can you afford to lose space in the boot or is it better under a seat or in the glove box. Once you've decided that then can you decide what size mobo you require

i have a huge trunk so i will be mounting it in the trunk. since i was already leaning towards the ATX anyway now i have to start my build. with all the features listed, will i be able to build a CarPC using an ATX mb and the OPUS 150w and have no problems?

i was looking up wattage specs and just a normal 1.2-2.0Ghz P4 with minimum accessories and it will run at about 190 watts. i havent looked up ATX motherboards yet bc of this but off hand are there any P4 boards i can run with a 3.5 HD, Auigy soundcard, 3 USB ports and still be under 150w? i do not want to go to an invertor that is why i have only been looking up and build my CarPC with the Mini-ITX in mind. sorry for the request for parts question but i need a starting point for the ATX path.
