It looks like a good plan. Very similar to my setup. (Note to self: Must order CPU next week ater payday!)
The only thing that may be an issue is the TV card. It might push your power draw over the limit for the Opus.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

I don't know for certain that the card will be an issue or not. It might. It might not.
I'd suggest getting the setup together without it. POwer it off the Opus. If all is happy and stable, add the TV card. If it's still all happy and stable, then you know it's not a problem.

You might want to drop it down to 128MB or 256MB ram... It will speed up your resume from hibernate (if that's what you're planning to do). Only up the ram if you absolutely need it...

IMHO, I use memory hogging programs far less often than I turn the thing on. When driving to work or to the store, all I care about is how fast it boots.

Oh, always buy a single chip (unless the mobo/chipset requires doubles) - it will provide for more expansion in the future.

But since he is running XP I would suggest he stays at 512, from my experience XP runs much better with 512 then 256. 126mb would be just too small.

256 is more than enough for me - I run frodo, IGuidance, and a few other apps with no problem.
If I were using the system for gaming, I might consider going with more, but I don't want to risk an extra second or two boot up for something which won't benefit me much during operation. (I haven't benchmarked how long it actually takes to resume - I'm assuming it will take longer)

If you're uncertain, go for two 256 sticks - pull one out if you don't see much benefit from using it...

thanks i think i am going to try the 256mb and if i need to up i can always add another one down the line. with all the apps i and everything i want to run, do you think this setup is good for the 150w dc-dc psu? to sum it all up this is what i plan on doing with it:

                        MP3s
                        DVD/CD-R
                        FrodoPlayer
                        FM Radio
                        XM Radio
                        PhoneControl
                        Internet
                        GPS (IGuidance)
