  • XP-M Pin Mod Question... DP?

I was going to use an MSI K7N2GM-V which of course doesnt let you set anything like vcore or multiplier...

    If I use
    http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?/ht...md_pinmod.html
to do the pin mod and use a vcore of 1.475 (as close to 1.45 as possible) do I need to cut the L11 bridges if its an xp-m 2400 or do I simply need to put the wires where they go?

On the website it says it works for xp etc but it doesnt state anything about xp-m processors. I was hoping someone like DPO who has done it already has an answer to this!

Just put the wires where they go... I've done this mod many times.

yeah but I have an XP-M not an XP and was wondering if I need to cut the L11 bridges to change the voltage.... to 1.475

        1) I haven't done the pin mod on that particular motherboard.
        2) I used the pin mod to set the vCore voltage to the lowest that was available on the Pin Mod Tutorial website, which is 1.475. It works just fine, albeit a bit hitter than if I were to run it at the SPU spec voltage of 1.35.
        3) Don't cut any bridges ont he XP-M. That's only necessary for non-mobile CPUs which aren't already unlocked.

Sorry for the delay in reply. I spend the holiday weekend unplugged, and it was refreshing.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
        How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

Don't bother with Vcore and other ****. Just put the wire for the correct FSB, and you are done.

Yeah I actually have that page added as a bookmark but I wanted to make sure I could change the voltage to run the things as cool as possible... Mostly because running it with so much more voltage makes a lot of unwanted heat!

If you find a way to pin mod it to have it running at lower voltage, let me know too. Well most of XP-M users will be happy
