  • Roof top GPS/Cellular/PCS/WiFi antenna

Just noticed a new product in the mp3car.com store.

    http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...roducts_id=148

Anyone have any thoughts about it?

It looks like this can be used to combine many antennas into one. So I can have my GPS, Wi-Fi and Cellphone all working off this one antenna. Is this correct??

I would definitely prefer GPS + XM + WiFi. I would pay $75 for that if really worked.
I don't have a need for external bluetooth or cellular.

Anyone have some ideas on how to connect this to your actual LAN,CELL, and GPS?

Here's some pics that I found on the connectors
          FME Female:

          FME Male:

I just can't visualize how this would hook into something like a Delorme GPS receiver. Do many of the 'nicer' GPS receivers have some sort of external antenna capability? Or does the MP3Car antenna have to be used with bluetooth GPS receivers?

Anyone with ideas on how to actually implement this antenna, please post - I'm confused, but this looks pretty sweet if it'll do everything advertised, all for only having to cut one hole in the car.

I probably don't understand the specs, but 0db of gain doesn't seem like it's worth it. Is the value of this antenna that it's external to the car and that's it? Will that make up for the losses incurred by connectors and a longer antenna lead?

Anyone know of any receivers that have an ext. connection? I assume those BU-* receivers wouldn't have external connections because they are already designed for the outside of the car.

it's a shame it's a FME cause I would of bought this for my car. I could used this if it had USB connector.
