    Sorry if this is a dumb question but, is it possible to make a network card for a computer send video out?

        Sure you can. I also have my soundcard communicating on my gigabit network in my home office. It works great most of the time. When I play MP3s, I lose my IP address, though...

          i was asking because i got a hold of a LCD screen that the video in cable is a network cable

            The connection may be the same, but the signal it carries is completely different.
            Get some specs for the monitor and determine what signal is on each of the pins/wires. You may be able to make a cable to use VGA or TV out from a PC.
            Or maybe not.
