  • ATX power for 700TSV

I'm running some spare power from my ATX power supply to the front of the vehicle to power my 700TSV. Does an ATX power supply provide regulated power, or do I still run the risk of jacking up my touchscreen?

If the ATX power supply didn't regulate power on the 12v rail (which is what powers your screen), it would fry your CPU (at the worst) or make for a very unstable system (at the very least).

The reason people power their screens from an ATX power supply is because they get damaged with unregulated 12v power. One would think you knew this and used it as the reasoning behind powering the screen with your ATX power supply. Perhaps now.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

Yes it was the reasoning behind my post. I don't see any harm in confirming however.
