  • CF Card Bootable

What are the pros and cons of having a bootable CF card as the main drive for a winxp install? I searched and found some stuff about not being able to hibernate and something about lifespan? Can someone elaborate further for me as the search is going poorly and i find lots of tid bits on these but not any explanations really.

I've had a Mac laptop booting off a 256Mb cf card in my kitchen for about 3 years now. No problems. I know it'll eventually crap out, but who cares, it's not running life support or anything. That and it's about 100Mb bigger than I really need, it's just what I had laying around.
          Failure is not an option....

It's installed by default on every version of Windows.
