  • Resuming from hibernation error - fix?

Is there any fix that perhaps resets the usb function in my laptop so that It might work when resuming from hibernate? Currently only resume from standby works 100% when wanting to use my usb devices afterwards...

Do a search on Devcon and hibernate trigger. A lot of systems have this problem with hibernate. What you need to do is write a script that gets Devcon to disable the devises when its going into hibernate and enable them again when its coming out. Hibernate trigger runs the scripts when going down and when its back up. Unfortunately nobody can write the scripts for you as the PID addresses are for individual machines.

So IŽll have to customize for each device and port and if I plug a device out and into another port IŽll have to redo the script right?

well you can do that or you can shut down the USB hubs themselves. Chances are if you go moving the plugs round the ports your going to have to reinstall drivers anyway so I really wouldn't recommend that. Course it depends what you all have plugged in as some devices it doesn't matter. You can do multiple devices in one script by the way.

I have like 10 usb devices going into the car but like 3 hubs... would be easier to just restart the hubs each time if it resolves the issue.

Anyhow I can´t really understand why this is occuring. The hibernation feature is a built in thing in windows which is basic. I dont understand why a normal thing like usb-devices should have to be used with an extra end-user written script just to work. Shame on You Microsoft. It´s like selling people a car for full price but they have to break into the gearbox and solder some wires just to be able to use the reverse gear. Wicked!!!
