  • 4" monitors?

Has anyone seen or used one of these. Are they big enough or too tiny to see. Are they easy to hook up?

btw I am referring to the ones currently being sold by Partsexpress.

There's already been plenty of discussion about these monitors, but I'll try to recap from my experience.

They are easy to hook up (RCA for NTSC video, and two leads for 12V).
Picture quality is good enough for me in 640x480 with large text. I can't read the street names in Street Atlas though. Other than that, it's perfectly viewable.

Hey Lorelei Guy thanx for the info.
I guess I will be getting these for my car.
I might install 2 or 3. I hd the old Alltech B/W screen but that was annoying cuz you couldnt see anything.

You can get the 4" displays from partsexpress. http://www.partsexpress.com

The 4" displays are very easy to hook up and get working but the display isn't very big. Only get the 4" if you can't get or fit a larger display.

visually, how do they compare to a 6". Can I enjoy a VCD on one, or is it too small ?
