  • pics of my project

just thought i'd throw up a couple of pics of what i have done so far.

my initial project is to switch my carpc on and off, switch my amp on and off and control winamp (volume, next track, pause) using an old (broken radio)

firstly i ripped out all the valves and old wires. as you can see when i press the buttons on the front these push a spring loaded rod.

i then made a small bracket, with 5 push to make switches

i am using the original volume control knob for volume
the original on off switch to switch my amp on and off, by running a single wire to the "remote" on the amp, the front light also works to let me know when the amp is on.
the carpc will be switched on and off by interrupting the main power button on the laptop, using one of the push buttons.

and one final pic with the brain in place. with the usb and power ports in the side of the unit.

just need to get the brain working now.
