  • 150amp hall effect current sensor L01Z150S05

    I need a current sensor that will measure a higher current, so I have a few of these Hall effect L01Z150S05 by Tamura. Do I need to load the output with a 10Kohm resistor to use it with the fusion brain? Perhaps if so you could provide a brief explanation as to why. Now when it comes to readings the way I read the graph I figure that 0 amp equals 2.5 volts and it will measure current in either direction? If I want to increase the sensitivity with a smaller current flow I could wrap it around the core a few times & divide in the software to give me better resolution?

    not much of a datasheet there.

    Yes, use a 10k load. 2.5v is 0 amps, 4v is 150amps, 1v is -150 amps.

      Just what I thought. Can you comment on the double wrap to improve resolution? I guess byl oading it down it will prevent 5volt over spike?

        I'm not sure how the double wrap will impact things. You should get the size sensor that fits your needs.

        I also do not know why they specify a 10kohm load.
