  • I need help deciding on.....

I have been reading this forum for awhile, and now I am trying to decide on weather I want to put am MP3 system in my car or not. I have an MP3 radio(Panasonic) in my car now, and it's pretty cool, but I just want something with more features. I have some questions:

    1. Do any of you have problems with the shutdown controllers? What do they actually do? What other ways can I turn my car off, and the computer goes off?

    2. What have you found to be better, Remote Control, Mouse, Touchscreen, Touch Pad?

    3. How would I go about hooking amps and speakers up to the CPU? Do I have to have an amp?

    4. When the computer starts, and the music program opens, is it possible to automatically play the CD in the CD-ROM?

I probably have more questions, but can't think of them right now.

    Thank you

Neither. I'm using a gamepad. I chose it instead of a remote because it's cheaper, harder to lose, and I don't have to worry about the batteries going dead.

Normally it's done by running an audio cable from the back of the soundcard to your radio. You don't need an amp, but check and see if an "aux in" adapter is available for your head unit. They make things easy to hook up, and don't degrade the sound quality.

Probably, but why bother? You already have a headunit that can play cds. Besides, a cdrom drive probably won't handle shock as well as your head unit.
