Not in the car, but atleast it works in the room. Still in the installation and completion phase.
In this picture, I am using a SWF file to have some motion in my desktop. As you can see its the Mitsu logo.

    This picture talks for itself

The cable here is sitting over the computer that will become my carputer.

    Fully operation touch.

Yes its from ebay, I was looking for an ELO touch and I came across this setup. It inlcuded the lcd, Intellitouch overlay, touch controller and lcd inverter for a $150.00 It was a gamble the guy that sold it to me, sold it "AS IS". I emailed him, asking if it did work he said yes, so I bought it, with the "buy it now" option. Not a bad deal IMO.

Although I have been looking around for a brighter backlight. Any suggestions? I have emailed various companies, but none have any help.

looks like I have the same one you have from ebay.. I think the guy was selling quite a few of those kits recently. I got mine for $150 too... waiting for the epia mobo to come in to hook the lcd up to...
How did you wire up the intellitouch controller to your serial port? Like.. the pinouts? I havn't really messed with it much lately since I don't have it hooked up to a mobo yet.. just wondering in advance....

Thanks for the pinouts... I didn't know Elo had that diagrams page. I rigged up a cable last night.. not so pretty, but I'm positive I got the wires and everything tied up right. But, when I plugged the serial cable to my computer and hooked it up to 5v, I couldn't get it to actually work. I downloaded the drivers from Elo, and installed it and all.. and in the control utility it says it is connected and working, but when I try to move the mouse or anything, it doesn't do anything, no movement at all. What am I missing? I even unplugged my ps/2 mouse and still the same thing. ???

                        Appreciate it...

So your pointer does not work not even with a mouse connected? hmm wierd. What OS are you running? Also where did you get the 5vDC to run the touch controller? Also look at the led on the controller it should blink at 1Hz.

well, with my ps/2 mouse connected or not connected, the serial touchscreen doesn't do anything. I'm in WinXP now... I'll hop over to Win2k and try it in a minute. I'm getting the 5vdc from my computer's power supply.. I tested with a multimeter to find a 5v, then hooked it up... windows seems to detect it and the driver software installed and all.. even says it is working correctly. Just, it isn't...

also, I don't have to have the LED hooked up, right? and the KEY and reset pins? I don't have those hooked to anything... should I just tie the ground wire (pin 8) to my computer chassis?? or does it matter if it's hooked up now that I'm just testing it?

                              thanks
