There goes originality, and the possible never seen before coolness factor. Its cool being the first kid on the block with a special toy. Next thing you know every ricer will have it.

You're not alone bg. I too hate publicity for mp3car b/c what we do is unique. No one has what we have. If they want it they have to build it themselves.

The fact that everything we have is custom built is in many cases protection enough - for many people they consider a pc in a car as 'cool, but in the too hard basket'.

Mass produced CarPC's would suck ***.

Unless we build it for them, and charge them a tidy bundle to do it.

The same thing will happen with carpc's as has with regular pc's... everyone will be able to build them if they want to. It's only a matter of time

Publicity is good. The more people who make these things the lower the prices will get as more store carry the lines and competition sets in.

Besides if your only building a carputer to be the first one on the block then thats a bit sad isn't it? Keep up with the Jones' and all that.

Surely the reason you would go to all that troube is not to try and impress other people? I thought it was the pleasure of having constructed a complete carputer and installing it. The joy of completing a project and actually building something that works.

Oh well guess I was wrong.

Besides its too late to start complaining about the average user getting a carputer:
