  • How to regulate the MP3 Sound? (having problems)

Well I dont remember having these problems....but I have over 1800 mp3's, most are full albums. I Have every album of the specific band I like. Well one of the albums I have of A Perfect Circle...for some reason I dont remember it being like this...but has some intense bass...I have to pull the bass down to the MINIMUM it will go, which is -20db. When normaly with EVERY other MP3 I have, its at the regular setting of 0. All the MP3's are different specs (like some albums are 128kbps, and some are 192.) Well the one thats having problems is 128 kbps...what can I do to fix this? I need to know before time, cause I am just thinkin about re-ripping it at like 128k again or 192k.

Ok, Well instead of answering that question...Since I just re-ripped the album at 128 and 192k...and both sounded normal... What would have caused that problem?

for a free program called MP3 Gain. It can equalize the volume of your collection. Though, if your volume is about the same, and only the bass is overpowering, I'm not sure if it would help.

Hum, I'm not usually one for normalization. I think an album is supposed to have quieter and louder sounds. Not for each song to have a maximum volume of 0dB.
