  • Hacking pioneer input

Hey people i am just about to put my mp3 pc into my car and looked at the back of my pioneer deh4150 deck at the input for the cd changer. I have got this picture http://members.optushome.com.au/hold...busdiagram.gif
on how to make a input through the cd changer. I just wanted to know how do i make it so that the input can easily say clip into the back of the deck. The little terminals on the deck are small as so trying to solder the wires to the deck would be very hard. Can i like use a clip or something.
    Any help will be apreciated

Sorry but I wanna know how can i make it myself man. $35 turns out to be like $80 by the time it gets to aus. No offence but i could probally buy a pioneer cd stacker cable and chop it up to suit my needs.

hey, you might want to check out this thread, maybe of some interest to you.
How are you going to connect the wires to the unit? just solder them on?

Maybe I am missing something, but why wouldn't you just buy the Pioneer CDRB10 Auxiliary Input Adapter?

Yeah the price would be high as here in australia, thats why i am gonna try and make up my own conector. Anyone got anyother ideas.
Thanks for all the info guys

Hey mate here is an easy solution.
Go to Dick Smith or any other store that sells RCA cables and get a set... that will cost you around AU$10 (the lenght is doesnt matter as you going to cut it)
Then open up your unit and look on the PCB board where the connects Pins go to. Solder your RCA lead to somewhere on the PCB and you done ... looks better and more cleaner job... its not that easy soldering the wires on to the pins themselves and even if you do and want to get a stacker later on you might have a hard time fitting the cable on that plug!

Thats actually a good idea, i never thought of that. Probably because i'd cringe at the thought of opening up and solding to my $700 cd player I've got a DEH-P5250

I wonder if pioneer will still honor the warrenty ?
