  • New! Free! GPS Software Looks Promising

I contacted Navmii support to see if they would be making software for the USA and this is what i got back in my email:

"Alas we don't yet produce any PC versions for the US.
It has always been an ambition of our but thus far in our development we've constrained ourselves to European markets.

This should change very soon as we're working with Intel to bring our Navfree sat-nav to PC's
With Navfree using the OpenStreetMap OSM data we can roll out regions without the financial constraints of using map data from traditional premium providers.

Navfree USA is coming to all versions of Windows soon "

They will probably have a "Premium" version as well, at least that would be my guess.

    Have a look for yourself:

Well, it's about $50 USD. I'm used to iGuidance (which is quite a bit more) and Google Maps (which is free). I would say that the price point at which they enter the market will determine their level of success. Other than that, the software looks pretty spiffy!
