    Click on http://www.laptopgpsworld.com/3933-i...b-gps-receiver
for a review, can post a problem for response.

    Site http://www.semsons.com/igmusbgpsre6.html
states "Note: GM-2 offers 115200 baud rate and will not work with Microsoft Street and Trips as the software only supports 4800 baud rate."

I was reading that webpage and was wondering does the gpsview program need to be running for the GPS to work?

I use Sygic Fleet, Sygic Drive, Igo8 and Google Earth with 5hz / 115200 baud rate without problems. Also XPort split com port.

GPSview program doesn't need to be running.

I also have the i-Blue GM-2, ordered since it's the recommended receiver from their link here: http://www.centrafuse.com/SupportedHardware.aspx

I was able to get GPSView to show data with COM2 and BAUD of 9600. But, setting COM2 and BAUD 9600 in Centrafuse shows no satellites shown. This is using Destinator and the standard Nav plugin with Centrafuse Auto.

By getting the Recommended receiver, I thought I was playing it safe. But, like the thread starter, I've spent hours on it and only have gone as far as getting data via GPSView but nothing in Centrafuse.

However, I've also noticed that the reciever's lights never do anything but blink yellow....

Any help? I'm getting somewhat frustrated with it and, other than this, the CarPC has been excellent!

It seems the settings in the thread I posted (pending moderator approval) worked for me. I'm now able to have Centrafuse "see" 1-3 satellites, whereas before it would never show anything but 0

I will test it more later

Another issue I had with the GM-2 is that it would interfere with my mouse control. I initially thought it was interference with the touchscreen, but unplugging the screen's usb had no effect and the mouse continued jumping randomly. I discovered there was a driver under Mice in the Device Manager (something Serial mouse) had to be disabled for it to stop doing this. Disabling this driver doesn't seem to affect the GM-2, but I wonder why it's installed?

Hey jos thanks for the help and looking this up. I got mine to work finally with messing with it but I came across another problem and that it literally takes ages for it to actually link with a satellite. Its almost as if it doesn't want to connect to them and just sit.

Your problem with your mouse isn't a driver problem but a registry problem. Do this

Cursor sometimes jumps all over the screen clicking left/right?* Here's the fix:* Open Regedit. Navigate to
***** HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\SerMouse, and change the value "Start" from 3 to 4.* Reboot.

Btw jos where do you live? If you live in a different country we might have to have different settings. I'm not 100% sure on this. I'm really trying to gather information up on this device so I can make a post on here about everything on it. Information about this device is very rare and scarce to find. Btw I live in the united states. Texas
