  • Plugin to integrate Garmin Mobile PC into Centrafuse

Just released the Beta 1 version and it is pretty sweet. Works well with CF 3.1 and GMPC 5.70g. You should check it out if you are running CF 3 and GMPC.

    http://www.nicksplugins.com/GMPC.php

    Latest version: Beta 1
Requirements: Centrafuse 3.1, Garmin Mobile PC Version 5.00.70
    Minimum Resolution: 800x600
    Current Languages: English

Just thought I would pass it along.

I just downloaded it and am running it on a laptop with Windows 7 and Centrafuse 3.1

Just tried this and am having some issues. Followed your directions but when I launch GMPC from CF it opens for a split second in full screen then reduces to only 1/6th the screen. The image remains the same but only the top left corner is visable. CF is still displayed in the remainder of the screen and is active with a single click on any displayed button. I've looked through settings but do not see it. Any ideas?

I have tried installing this plugin, but every time I do CF locks up when I go into settings to setup the button. The music still plays, and the buttons light up when I touch them, but other then that nothing. In order to clear it up I have to plug in a keyboard open up Task manager and kill the CF process. If I delete the GMPC folder from my plugins directory everything works fine again. Anyone have any ideas?

Beta 1.2 is the lastest version. I have been running this plugin for a couple of months now with no issues. I am on XP Pro SP3.
Make sure that you have the correct version of GMPC (5.00.70) or it will not work.
You should be running a minimum of 800 x 600
          Here are the install instructions:

Run exe and install in your Centrafuse plugins folder (Default Location "C:\Program Files\Centrafuse\Centrafuse Auto\Plugins") Must change this if CF is not installed in the default folder
Create a button to the plugin using the Button Layout menu in Centrafuse setup
You must change the setting for TTS guidance in the GMPC plugin setup menu

If it works and you like it, make sure you donate to him. This plugin is fantastic IMO.

            I have version beta 1.2.
            I have GMPC 5.00.70 installed.

I followed the instructions, but when I press "options", then "settings" it just hangs. The buttons respond to touch (lights up), but none of them work, not dim, not help, nothing. I then have to press Alt-F4 to kill the options menu and then Alt-F4 again to get out of Centrafuse. I've tried to set the language in CF from Norwegian back to English, but the result was the same. I have the default CF installation path. I also tried reinstalling GMPC as administrator, no dice.

I'm sorry I am at a loss what to try next. Maybe some else can chime in with more knowledge than I have on this.
Alternately, thethread over at Centrafuse dedicated to this plugin is here:

you may get better answers there.

I also tried installing .net 1.1, 2.0, 3.5 and 4.0 just to try, still no dice. I'll head over to Centrafuse and see if they can help, thanx anyway!

ok guys. look. I've installed garmin mobile pc 5 and updated to 5.00.70 with greek maps and greek voice. Then i installed the GMPC plugin and it works really great. The only issue about the plugin is that the mouse pointer shows inside centrafuse when i use navigation how can i hide it?

i also have one problem with the garmin program. Whenever i setup a route to go, the greek voice repeats the same thing every moment. i hear in greek : "rerou-rerou-rerou" from reroute. Can i fix it?

Unfortunately, GMPC and this plugin are no longer supported. I know there are a number of people still using it, but the developer is no longer actively supporting it.
