  • Unable to load maps into Garmin Mobile PC

    Hey everyone, I'm back!

    ...with issues.

I've done a search and found threads that I thought might help but ended up not.
My sound card took a dump so I took this opportunity to update my software. I started with updating my Garmin Mobile PC to 2014 maps with success following Dluvr22's post, then after [insert long story here] I had to reinstall Windows 7. I backed everything up, reinstalled and started again.

Here's the problem. I reinstalled my original Garmin mobile PC 5.00.60g and started with my original CN North America NT 2010.10. When I look at the map it says "No map", when I go into Manage My Data; Map Sets, it DOES say "Detailed maps C:\GarminMobilePC\" When I click that, it shows up "CN North America NT 2010.10, C:\GarminMobilePC\, 1173.8MB". Everything "looks" correct, but I can't figure out what I'm missing.

strange, mine works with 2014 maps just fine, I will have to check my setup and see what I used. I do have 5.00.70 though

Check out THIS thread. Basically you just have to replace the gmapsupp.img file.

Side note: I found out the issue, I didn't have a base map loaded yet. I needed gmapsupp.img and gmapbmap.img. Updaters of 2010 will already have gmapbmap but since I was doing a fresh install I didn't have it yet.
